About me

My name is Amanda and I’m an experienced administrator and bookkeeper who loves working with systems to make business life easier to manage.

People work with me because I organise their bookkeeping and admin so they don’t have to.

I’ll free up your time, reduce your stress and save you energy and money.

What I do

Think of me as your ‘back office support’.

You may need help with handling the office administration, this could be anything from completing work documents, data entry to managing the bookkeeping.

Or you may be looking for assistance in identifying and setting up systems to run your business.  I can help with all of these tasks.

How I work

I prefer to work on your business virtually, though am happy to spend some of the time working from your own office if you prefer.  I can fully integrate with your current way of working.

Whether you want me to spend an agreed numbers of hours per month working for your business, have a specific project, or require ad-hoc support only, this can be accomodated.

Who I work for

Whilst diverse, my clients all have one thing in common: they all understand the benefits of prioritising their time and want to grow their own business.

They achieve this by outsourcing the bookkeeping and administration to me.

I’ve worked with Accountants, Consultants and Business Coaches through to Property, PR and Construction Companies.

My background

Since leaving University in 1997 I have had some fantastic opportunities to really understand how systems can streamline business processes.

Working for Goodyear Tyres as a Marketing & Data Analyst I was given the opportunity to work with SAP and various supporting systems.  I was involved in implementing a SAS Data Warehouse to European sales and finance teams, after which providing support and training became a key element to my role.

Since leaving Goodyear Tyres in 2007 I have worked in a variety of roles including Administration Support and Office Management.

Whilst working for a forward thinking construction company I was given the opportunity to learn how Xero could seamlessly integrate business systems to manage the entire workflow from project management through to bookkeeping and accounting.  I built on this knowledge and in 2018 I became a Xero advisor.

Education and training

After graduating from Wolverhampton University with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies I began my career as a Marketing & Data Analyst with Goodyear Tyres.

To enhance my knowledge of using data within marketing I studied with The Institute of Direct Marketing and in 2001 completed my Diploma in Direct Marketing.

My continual professional development includes Microsoft Excel, Access and Visual Basic, as well as various SAS courses which assisted in my understanding of the technology behind the SAS Data Warehouse.  I also used SAP during my time at Goodyear Tyres.

Systems and certification

As a virtual assistant and bookkeeper I come across many systems which help both myself and my clients to automate processes.

In my own business I use Trello to manage my tasks, Gmail for email management, as well as Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Access, and have built my own website using WordPress.  Xero and FreeAgent are the two applications I use for bookkeeping, I am a Xero advisor and partner.

I have studied for my bookkeeping qualifications through the AAT, I am registered with the ICO and am AML registered.
